Refund Policy

At Hints of South Africa, we strive to provide exceptional experiences and ensure that every part of your tour is enjoyable. However, we understand that sometimes plans change. Please read our refund policy carefully before making a booking.

1. Deposits and Non-Refundable Deposits

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking for any of our tours.

  • The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellations, regardless of the reason.
     

2. Cancellation by You

If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. The following cancellation terms apply:
 

  • Whistle Stop Tours: We require at least 7 days’ notice for cancellations.

  • All Other Tours: We require at least 14 days’ notice for cancellations.
     

If you cancel your tour outside of these timeframes, no refund will be issued, and the deposit remains non-refundable.
 

3. Cancellations by Hints of South Africa

While we aim to deliver your tour as planned, there may be unforeseen circumstances that require us to cancel or reschedule a tour. In such cases, we will:
 

  • Offer you a full refund of any amount paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit) or

  • Provide you with the option to reschedule to another tour date.
     

4. Refund Processing

Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 14 business days from the confirmation of cancellation. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used.
 

5. No Refunds for No-Shows or Late Arrivals

If you do not show up for your tour or arrive after the scheduled start time, no refund will be provided.
 

6. Special Circumstances

In certain exceptional cases (e.g., medical emergencies), we may offer a partial refund or rescheduling option, at our discretion. If you find yourself in such a situation, please contact us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
